Uluwatu Temple, the name of the temple is taken from word “Hulu” means Top “ Watu” rock so Uluwatu Temple means where the temple built in the top of rock, with direct views to the beautiful Indian Ocean. It is around 80 meters from above sea level. The temple is located in Pecatu village, Kuta district, Badung regeny, its around 35 km from Denpasar.The temple was built on XI century by Mpu Kuturun (Lontar Usana Bali) then continued by Dang Hyang Niratha was the priest from Jawa Island.
